Over 29 million people have tried Alpha in 169 countries, and it has been translated into 112 different languages.

Developed as a short course in London in 1990, Nicky Gumbel took over running Alpha and aimed it at introducing the Christian faith to the many people outside of the church who were curious. With a tag line of “Got questions, try Alpha”, it give people a space to explore the basics of Christianity. Donal Casey is one person who did the Alpha Course over four years ago. He talks about what drew him into the Alpha course and how he went from rejecting anything to do with the Church when he was younger to making a conscious decision to come the Faith.
