This year the Mercy Order celebrates 175 years in existence.  Recent years have been difficult and painful for the Order, but they take courage from their remarkable foundress Catherine McAuley who is still their inspiration. Sr. Anne Hannon told Eileen Good about the foundation of the order and the Ireland of those days.
