Lifers goes out on RTE 1 Thursday the 31st of January at 10.15. It is a documentary which tells the story of missionaries who gave their entire life to helping others, often living in dangerous and isolated conditions. This programme takes an unsentimental and honest look at what life was really like for them. Miriam Gormally spoke with Ruán Magan, director of Lifers about the extraordinary stories and lives that these nuns and priest lived. Miriam began by asking Ruán whether they ever got frustrated at working in seemingly insurmountable conditions.
