The Holy Lands is a site of great pilgrimage which unfortunately has become increasingly more known for conflict. Fr. Vincent O’Hara OCD, prior of the Avila Carmelite Centre, Bloomfield Ave, Dublin, recently completed a three-month Renewal Course on Mount Carmel (Haifa), the “cradle” of the Order. He says that despite the conflict it is still a tremendously profound place, well worth visiting.
