December 1st is World Aids day. It is a day to remember the millions of people who have died from the virus as well as those still affected. It is also a day for solutions and finding ways to prevent further deaths.  Sr. Miriam Duggan, the congregational Leader for the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa, is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who has spent many years working in Uganda. She has been largely credited with reducing the rate of HIV/AIDS in Uganda through the program, Youth Alive. She explained her work and its success to Miriam Gormally.
