The sacrament of Baptism welcomes a child into the family of God in a special way, it marks the beginning of the child’s journey of Faith. A new book A Welcome for your Child – A Guide to Baptism for Parents by Julie Kavanagh and Maeve Mahon published by Veritas, is a practical guide for parents to help them, the family and the wider community participate more fully in this very important day. Eileen Good met the authors and first asked Julie about the significance of the Sacrament of Baptism.
