Children First

It is a fact that one in ten children in our society live below the poverty line.  Children First is a foundation whose aim is to work at reducing those numbers by helping those less fortunate to break free of the poverty trap.  Their latest scheme is the Graduate Programme, which links those who have with those who have not.  Through a long-term commitment by a “sponsor” children will be given the support and funding to avail of further education.  Fiona Pryle is involved in developing this campaign and Miriam Gormally asked her why there was such a need for this programme.
