Earlier this week, the Irish Prison Service and the Irish Probation Service launched their Joint Strategy for prisons for 2015-2017. They are specifically concerned about chronic overcrowding, cell sharing, the needs of prisoners requiring protection and the needs of the people who work in prison. Miriam Gormally met Eoin Carroll, Social Policy and Communications coordinator in the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice to find out more.
