Jim Feeley is a retired army corporal and now works for Spirit Radio. Jim has a different story than most to tell. This is the first part of that story.

In 1961, Jim was taken from his mother by the State at approx 7 months old. He was reared in St. Joseph’s orphanage in Clifden Co. Galway. In this first piece Jim shares some of those experiences both good and bad.
He is now retired from the army and presents his own show in Irish on Spirit Radio every Sunday morning before heading off to worship plus he records the “Word For The Day” segment that goes out on Spirit Radio every day.

I was very moved by Jim’s story. Life has certainly changed in many ways. It brings me to think though of those children now in care and to wonder what stories they will have to tell in the future.
