Gospel music has been steadily sweeping the country, increasing in popularity and bringing life back into Mass. Every year for the last three years, there has been a Gospel Rising Festival, where choirs from all over the country participate in workshops and partake in various performances. This year’s festival will be in Bray. Miriam Gormally spoke with Lindsay Rountree who has been involved since the beginning and was involved in one of the first Gospel Choirs in Gardiner Street. Miriam began by asking Lindsay to explain what was involved with the festival.
