International Women’s Day is in March and it is a day to celebrate the lives of women everywhere and their many achievements. However it is also a time to remember women all over the world who have few rights and may even live in continuous fear of violence. In many cases, it is a fear of culturally sanctioned violence in their own homes. Naile Salima works with women in Milawi and launched her campaign against Gender based violence on International Women’s Day as she explained to Miriam Gormally.
