Is God Good?

Stephen Fry famously said on the Meaning of Life that God was mean minded and capricious. It was a remark that caused a great deal of debate. Miriam Gormally met with Brian Grogan SJ, author of God, You are Breaking my Heart to find out what he thinks. He said the heart-felt title came from the fact that, he too, found it hard   to understand God’s ways without feeling downhearted. But first Miriam asked him about Stephen Fry’s comments and the question of whether God is good and how one can keep faith in a world where terrible things can happen to good people.

One response to “Is God Good?”

  1. Suzanne Ryder says:

I find this a deep and insightful interview. Brian is visionary in his hope for where we are as humans. I believe with him that the love expressed in the Universe, that we may call God, is calling us in a new way. Brian expresses a leap beyond all we know and it gives me new heart to hear his words. If enough of us believe this vision enough, it can come to birth.
