Evelyn Mc Loughlin ( Sr Loreto) is in her 80th year and will launch her autobiography ‘Down the Arches of the Years’ in Ballinasloe, Gullanes Hotel on the 9th Dec at  2.30pm and in St Raphael’s School Loughrea at 7.30 pm on Wed 12 Dec.

She was principal there as well as principal in Woodford School. Originally from Ahascragh, she’s still a power house of work and is on various boards of management.  Her story, told in three parts is a social history of the changing life of nuns and education in Ireland over the last 80 years. In this first part she tells Pat Coyle about her early decision to write the book and about her childhood and decision to enter into the monastery.
