On January 27th of this year the worldwide celebrations began to mark the 250th. anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A musical genius, Mozart composed his first piece of music at the age of 5 and completed his first symphony at the age of 8. All over Ireland choirs and musical societies are performing his works and one such choir is the Palestrina Choir in Dublin’s Pro-Cathedral. Fr. Pat O’Donoghue told Eileen Good about Mozart and the celebrations.
