Pat Coyle was down in the RDS today catching up with some of the exciting ventures that were taking place there. In this piece she catches up with well known artist Imogen Stuart and Brian Grogan SJ to talk about Imogen’s Bee Hive Cell – a sacred place for mystical prayer that she sculpted in the style of monks of old. She explains more to Pat.
It is wonderful to hear Imogen. I love her stations of the cross in Ballintubber Abbey. They have a fresh quality of drawing the person into the moment. This sounds like a great initiative. The joy in Brian’s voice is lovely to hear. May the kind of experience described here flourish. Great too to hear that the wood was got in County Mayo! I look forward to experiencing it in Knock.
