Summer time is usually associated holidays and fun. But for some older people in particular it can be a time of loneliness. This is according to Ann Dempsey who works with Senior Help Line, a confidential listening service for older people by older people. Ann explained to Miriam Gormally why they get many calls from older people in Summer suffering from loneliness. But first she explained what was so special about Senior Helpline.
