Catherine McCann has lead a very eventful life, including doing a phd at 70 and travelling to India to deepen her spirituality at 81. She is also the founder and owner of the Shekina Sculpture Garden Shakina garden in the Glenmalure Valley, close to the Avonbeg river and under the shadows of Fannierin mountain in Wicklow.

This one acre garden includes a stream with a bridge, two ponds on different levels, a patio, gazebo, seating areas, shrub beds and undulating lawns. A unique feature is a collection of modern sculptures by Irish artists. Here she talks with Pat Coyle about the spirituality of the garden and how people can find a renewed sense of meaning and connection in nature.
