The Irish government have only agreed to accept just 90 refugees out of the 30,000 that need to flee the bloody conflict in Syria.

Here Pat Coyle talks with David Moriarty of the Irish Jesuit Refugee Service about the imminent crisis and the very poor response from our government to the plight of a people who need somewhere to live other than their own home country so as to escape a bloody fate that could fall upon them or their families.

The news from Syria has been overwhelming but this interview has opened up for us some practical steps we can take in relation to this terrible international humanitarian crisis. So, we can lobby – it is one thing, again, that we can do. We can also pray for Fr.Paul and the many disappeared. Again, thanks to Pat and Dvaid and Soul Waves for highlighting this terrible tragedy and literally opening a road map for the refugees – even that one percent.
