The Paris Agreement – One Year on

It’s now a year on since the Paris agreement of December 12, 2015. It brought together leaders from all over the world to make a real commitment to limiting climate change. Catherine Devitt, Environmental Justice Officer with the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice, wrote about the Paris agreement when it first happened. Here she speaks with Pat Coyle about whether we have achieved anything significant in the year since it was made. First she began explaining what the agreement was about and why it was so important.
This is a clear and vital interview. Pat’s response echo my own so it is wonderful to have them expressed. Let us hope that the hope Catherine still holds might direct us – even on a bike!
