Are men and women equal in the eyes of God?  Christ treated all equally, often even defying the social norm, yet this equality hasn’t been central to Christianity with women constantly taking second place.  Mary T. Malone has written several books on Women in Christian History, and believes that women are often left with little place or opportunity to express themselves or their spirituality.  Through her work she tries to reclaim the female side of the Church.  Miriam Gormally first asked her if it was fair to say that women had in effect been erased from Christian History.
